Owners - Lynn and Mike Rey
It has been Lynn's dream to own a dog kennel most of her whole adult life. For the past 25 years, she has worked in the pet industry in various capacities. Always willing to pet sit for anyone that would let her, she started this side business while working in retail pet supplies.
Then, after gaining lots of management experience, Lynn managed several pet related businesses around the Pittsburgh area
including Veterinary, Grooming and Boarding businesses.
Finally in 2014 while searching for kennels for sale, Lynn and Mike found Hickory Creek Kennels (now Hickory Creek Pet Lodge).
Mike Rey, a Pitt graduate, was super excited to help Lynn with her dream business.
His background in Finance and as a Mortgage Banker was a huge help in the success of the purchase of the kennel.
Now, you will often find Mike caring for the dogs and the property here at the Lodge.
They are both enjoying their new business and plan do so for years to come.
